"The principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale." --Thomas Jefferson

Just a thought

Perhaps with all of our retirement accounts dipping lately, the trivial will be avoidable in our political process and we will be able to focus on the issues. Funny that today we don't hear anything about lipstick on a pig or if Michelle Obama has a new handbag.

But I am glad that someone has said something about Obama's rendezvous with Barbara Streisand and his closest 500 movie star buddies at his 28k per plate dinner. Oh how I would have loved to hear those 4 songs. 4 songs! See, in 1985 you would have gotten at least 8 songs for 28k. Now that's just unacceptable inflation if you ask me. What's next, five dollar a gallon gas? Crazy.
